I love these guys! 9 years ago they put ridge vents in - they were quick, professional and cleaned up after themselves beautifully. After Hurricane Ike I had a leak and was afraid my roof would need to be replaced, Duran's just replaced some cracked plastic vents, very inexpensively, they told me my roof was in good shape - other roofers had left flyers on my door saying my roof looked damaged. The carpentry is also great, Duran's closed in an area on my roof line in the back, it looks great - blends in perfectly with the rest of the house. Today I'm writing because I was willing to spend money on a solar powered exhaust fan, John came out and explained why it probably would not help in my attic. That just saved me a bunch of money that I was willing to spend. I know that other roofers would have just done it, and taken the money. Duran's Roofing installed for me Tamko Metalworks shingles which offer " class A fire rating". Also impact resistant ( UL 2218)which is hail resistant. Tamko metal shingles reduced the tempeture in my attic by 35 degrees which leads to reduced energy use. Many insurance companies offer up to 10% discount for each and possibly a Tax credit for energy efficiency.

I am very happy with the work Duran's Roofing and Carpentry has just completed for me. They installed of a new roof and repaired damaged woodwork as well as replaced an exterior door. An especially nice feature was the reflective barrier they installed under the new roof. I can already see a difference in the way my air conditioner cycles. Duran's installed the roof on a room addition for us five years ago. Their work was excellent. Although other parts of our roof suffered damage from Hurricane Ike, the portion of the roof installed by Duran's suffered absolutely no damage.

Because of our positive experience with them in the past, we decided to go with Duran's when needing a complete roof replacement after Hurricane Ike.

The workers showed up on time and were very professional and courteous. After the job was complete, the entire area was cleaned thoroughly. Also, the customer service received from the office representative was EXCEPTIONAL. We were kept informed every step of the way. And lastly Duran's went above and beyond when assisting us in getting required paperwork completed and submitted in a timely manner.

I have used Duran's Roofing for many years. The roof on my house, my bath house and again when we added a room. I also used Duran's after Hurricane Ike to repair my home in Rosenberg.
Duran's did the roof on our 1st weekend home in Sargent. When we upgraded to another home in Sargent, Duran's did that roof. They repair any wood damage, stick to the estimate and do the best work I have ever seen. I have recommended them to my parents and many relatives that needed roof or carpentry work. The crew arrives - does the work and leaves absolutely no trash, nails or anything to show that they were there except a new roof that has been properly installed and looks great. They fixed a leak in my roof. This company came out when some others would not because it wasn't a complete new roofing job. The crew was well run, orderly, courteous, and cleaned up afterword. Overall they did a fine job. They explained what was wrong, and what they had to do, and gave an initial estimate before the work was done. I will use them again when I need work done. We had minor roof damage due to hurricane Ike. Duran's Roofing was recommended by a friend. They promptly checked our roof, gave us a very fair estimate. In December 2006, I had a new roof put on my home, with more extensive work than most roofs get. The roof was flat, and I wanted it sloped. After much discussion and muttering on my part, a beautiful roof was placed on my home, where neighbors came up and asked who had done the work.
But the real test was during Ike. Laying under the new roof while debris hit at 110 miles per hour, hearing the booms as the trees began to break apart, and waking up the next day with so much on the roof - a neighbor walking by said, "I hope he gets someone to help him get all of that off of the roof."
The neighbors came to help, and several hours later the roof was beautiful - and remarkable. Another roofer I considered had done a nearby church.
It was a mess in comparison.
I am not an easy individual to work with at times and they worked well with me - and provided an excellent roof - to which Ike will testify.
I have pictures of the roof laden with a mess, but no way to post here.

I called Duran's after discovering some minor roof damage following Hurricane Ike. They were able to get a crew out to our house in Missouri City within 10 days, while most roofers wouldn't even return my call. In fact, they would have been there within a week, except for issues with my schedule.

The crew called in advance to let me know when they planned to arrive. They were friendly and professional. They completed the roof repair quickly and charged a reasonable price.

The true test was that it poured down rain the next day, and the roof held up great -- no more water leaks into the house! Missouri City, Texas

Great work and quick response! After Ike (like most) I had no power, no phone and no roof. I went to Duran's when the winds died down and they were at my house in less than a week and had a new roof on in no time. OH, in the meantime they ran over and covered the many damaged areas to prevent further damage.

Our roof had minor damage after Hurricane Ike. After many calls it seems like it was not going to be possible to find a roofer who was willing to help fix our roof for a reasonable price. After many roofers quoted us to simply tarp our minor problem and come back out later and charge us again to fix the problem, Duran's Roofing came out within 3 days and fixed our problem at a reasonable price. After a recent heavy rain, the roof above our living room began to leak. After reading reviews about Duran's on SugarLandNetwork.com, I decided to give Duran's Roofing a try. John Castillo came by the very next day. He inspected the roof, did a water test and found the exact spot where the roof was leaking. He gave me a competitive quote that I verified with 2 other bidders. I knew I had to have that partial section of my roof re-done, but I got busy and put it off. A few weeks later, after watching the Wed night local news, the forecast called for severe and soaking thunderstorms Friday and Saturday. I knew that I had to move fast and get that roof redone immediately, otherwise I was going to have a BIG and costly water damage problem on my hands with that approaching storm. So first thing that next morning (Thurs 8:15 am) I called Duran's and spoke with Jenny. I asked Jenny if they could perform a miracle and get my roof started and completed "that very same day" (Thurs). I fully expected her to say, "sorry, but we'll get to it as soon as we can (maybe next week)". But much to my surprise, Jenny called me back 10 minutes later and said they would be at my home, by 1:00, THAT SAME DAY !!! She knew I was in a bad spot, and she re-arranged their schedule to help me out. The crew showed up as promised, and did a fantastic job. They finished up early that next morning (Friday). They did a super job of cleaning up and took great care of our yard and landscaping. The heavy rains came that weekend... but we stayed safe and dry ! :-)
I plan to use Duran's when it comes time to replace the balance of our roof, and would highly recommend Duran's to anyone. They are locally owned and operated and are people you can trust to do the right thing. Sugar Land, Texas

What a great experiece!! Duran's Roofing is the way to go if you need a great roof, at a great price and with a company that you can depend on. When we were given the price of the new roof, Druan's made the color choice easy by giving us pictures of what our house would look like with the different colors available which took the guess work out of picking a color. I was so impressed with the way their roofing crew got to our house and started work at the exact time that I was told that they would be there. They were careful not to injure any of my plants and were also careful in making sure all the construction trash was picked up during and after the roof was completed. Great job Duran's!!
